6.370. Additional Time After Service by Mail
Whenever a defendant has a right or is required to do
some act or take some proceedings within a prescribed
period after service of a notice or other paper and the
notice or paper is served by mail, 5 days shall be added
to the prescribed period.
Committee Notes
1992 Amendment. A change from 3 to 5 additional days allowed
for mailing, as allowed by Florida Rule of Civil Procedure
1.190(e).
